Below are a sampling of the many photos that have been taken of me mostly by dear friends. I have been collecting them over the years and some photos I do not remember who took them. Please let me know if you are the photographer and I will post your photo credit with the photo. I am so thankful for all of you who take these photos because they are gems and I will remember those performances fondly because of your effort. All photos on this page are low resolution. The Pregnant Goddess

Click on the bullet above for a link to my page that is dedicated to the fine photography that Tina Barrett took of me while I was pregnant (seven months). She has a special eye for light and composition. Her preference to work in black and white film lends a classic beauty to her images.

Almaazah

This photo was taken at one of the few times I danced at the Pecan Street Arts Festival along with Jeanette. Gary Hass accompanied us with his fine drumming and Greg White played the position of "Ali Bubba." I had a very nice photo published in the Austin American-Statesman from this event. Photo: Unknown

One of my most prized possessions are the silk veils from Bonni Silks. This one was made especially for me and as you can see it is truly an inspiration. Photo: Lissa Anderson

An audience member at Bobbye Dee's Seminar with Suzanna Del Vechio caught me just after a Turkish drop. Or am I just laying there checking out my nails? Photo: Unknown

A moment caught in time -- total immersion in the driving passionate violin music played by Doug Adams of Light Rain. Lucila Velez was kind enough to bring him to the Austin scene several times and I was fortunate enough to dance among the lights of his melodies. Photo: Unknown

Who's says sword has to be serious? Just don't look too closely at my dirty feet! Photo: Unknown photographer, background manipulation by Elan Deese.
Here are the Bogart Girls! Dejah of San Antonio invited me along with her and another dancer to work on a stage presentation call "Marrakech Street Scene." It was for an annual management conference for Budweiser. After two days of intense rehearsal we pulled off a flawless performance. My favorite memory of it is when the director took a look at us and then asked, "Where is your hair?" I guess he thought we should all be dark headed with olive skin (they took care of the olive skin by adding a liberal amount of makeup all over us that took three showers to remove!).

Dancing to "Nour el Ain" played by a band out of Houston at one of Bahaia's HOT Seminars in Austin, Texas. Photo: Unknown
This fun duet with Michael Beach of The Beledi Brothers was part of the seminar show sponsored by Bobbye Dee. As a lover of drum solos, this opportunity to dance one-on-one with a master drummer in a historic theater was a memory of a lifetime. Thanks to Shariah for catching it on film for me!
Melissa-Amera's Carousel dance venue has a special charm that brings out the star in all of us. With all my friends in the audience it's hard not to smile! Photo: Jeanne Godbout
Mirage's stage at the University of Texas's Student Union is home to many a dancer's first start to that jittery feeling of stage nerves and the exhilaration of a performance done well. I name my student groups Crescent Moon when they perform and this group was one of the first. Many of these dancers are now professional dancers in their own right. The students are: (bottom left, up and around) Jeanne, Johari, Anastasia, Tina, Chrissa, Dragona and Linda. Photo: Unknown
Another Crescent Moon group performing my cane choreography to "Shashkin" by Faruk Tekbelek. The students are: (bottom left, up and around) Twyla, Dana, Deborah, Natasha and Casey. Photo: Unknown
These divine beauties, dancing as Crescent Moon, performed my zil choreography to the ethnic version of "Ala Nar." The students are: (bottom left, up and around) Dana, Stephanie, Sharon, Natasha, Liza, Sharon, Deborah and Hafsa in the bottom center. Photo: Unknown
