The Irving Association for Gifted and Talented (IAGT) is an organization of parents and other individuals who unite to address the unique needs of gifted and talented students. We encourage and endorse policies that support the social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the gifted child.
To foster a spirit of cooperation, communication, and teamwork with Irving Independent School District teachers and administrators;
To establish a communications network and to serve as a source of information and education for all
parents of gifted and talented students in the Irving Independent School District;
To encourage parental and community participation in programs for the gifted and talented students in the Irving Independent School District;
To advocate for appropriate services and accountability standards for all gifted students as set forth by the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students;
To put the needs of our gifted students FIRST.
