HV Board "SQUELCHES" Employee For Speaking Out TO pROTECT yOUR iNTERESTS!
HV "Whistleblower" Ordered To "Keep it Quiet" During Board Meeting of July 20, 2002.
CHUBB DROPS HVCA for Director's (D&O) Insurance. New insurance company wants nearly 800 percent of the old premium! The Huntington Village Board of Directors have recently approved a gigantic increase in their insurance that protects them against personal liability.Reportedly, the insurance premium for HV recently has exploded from $2500 per year to over $17,400 with a new deductible that has soared from $1,000 to $35,000 per occurrence. In order to reduce that deductible to only $10,000 per action, it is reported the Directors plan to approve an additional $2000 in insurance costs. Directors insurance has grown from $2500/year to nearly $20,000. One might think it's time to start asking the questions, but then again those who know the history know the answers. Many agree that the increase, due to Chubb Insurance Company's refusal to renew the D&O insurance forced the HV Board of Directors to seek another company who would agree to cover their actions. It appears that the company who took the policy is aware of HV's lawsuit history.Rumor has it that the board is now dipping into the Association's reserves in order to stay afloat. If local HV residents did not attend the Last Board Meeting, it is reported they missed a heated discussion revolving around an employee finally blowing the whistle on BOD Spending habits.Stay tuned for more.....NO OPPOSING VIEWS ALLOWED!

The bottom line is simple:
- The Board of Directors are REQUIRED by Texas Law and our Governing Documents to operate within the confines of our
Deed Restrictions and Bylaws (their job descriptions).
- The Board of Directors CANNOT amend and/or modify (contrary to what some would like you to believe) OUR Governing Documents at their whim. Those rights belong ONLY to you and REQUIRE a 75% Majority Paper Ballot Recorded Vote of The Property Owners to Modify our Deed Restrictions or Bylaws.
- Our
governing documents are precise and clearly outline the limits of the Board's Authority. These limits are a designed protection for your family and precisely why they were included in the original drafts of our bylaws and deed restrictions.
- Their is no workable mechanism short of expensive court litigation to force a Board of Directors to operate within our governing documents if they choose to ignore them. This creates a needless and expensive string of abuses when a board chooses to abuse their authority using our money defending indefensible actions. This abuse of our governing system must stop.
NOTICES OF FORECLOSURE
What if out of a clear blue sky you received a letter from a lawyer placing a lien on your property for some unknown violation you did not commit? This has happened to more than one Huntington Village resident.
