Coming Soon...  (When The Board Releases Them)

Actual Minutes of HVCA Board Meetings

During the Board Meeting of January 20, 2000, a  BOARD DIRECTOR summoned the Precinct 5 Constables with the report that a resident was threatening the board with "bodily harm".  Many in the audience can confirm that this was NOT the case and this action was uncalled for and totally unnecessary. Several residents can confirm there was no such threat made. Never fear.....  this same board member used the arriving officers with sirens blaring to eject all residents after the scheduled board meeting or FACE CRIMINAL TRESPASS CHARGES. At least one resident was of  particular concern it seems. He had a camera and was photographing the event. That resident, a credentialed news reporter,  was personally and quickly escorted out the door given the choice of leaving "NOW" or facing immediate arrest. The Board Members, along with their Hired Lawyer and Billing Management Co. Representative, claimed that they were about to enter into a "secret" executive forum.  We can only speculate that this is a part of the continuation of the usual "tactics" in pursuing their  "lawsuits" against the residents paying the bills. There are so many lawsuits ongoing, we can only guess which actions they would be conspiring with on this particular evening.

During the scheduled Board Meeting, a FORMAL REQUEST was presented in writing by a resident for the Board to make available records regarding questionable expenditures in the "office supply" category. With a budget of approx. $90 for Year 1999, the board appears to have spent over $7,000, (7,700% to budget expenditure). As of May 1, 2000, this normally available information, according to our published Deed Restrictions, no response from the Board has been forthcoming.

For those arriving for the next scheduled Board Meeting  of February 17, 2000, they were surprised to find a locked door with a notice taped on the door that the meeting was CANCELLED!  This action after previously demanding that a number of residents appear to discuss their deed restriction violations.  We found no resident who had been notified of this 11th hour cancellation prior to arriving to a locked door.
