Meadow is the only daughter of my youngest brother. He and his beautiful wife Trina also have two handsome precious boys.  Meadow had a very short life here with us, but we all know that one day we will get to be with her for all time.

My brother experienced losing his wife and baby daughter in the span of a few weeks. I hurt for him when I saw him go through the pain and agony that he did, but I had no clue how bad he really was hurting until my daughter joined my niece in Heaven.

My beautiful sister-in-law, Trina discovered shortly after giving birth to her second son at the young age of 29 that she had Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

She was given chemo treatments to reduce the size of the tumor which was successful and then she had a mastectomy. After that she and her doctors decided to try a treatment that had been successful with Leukemia patients,  but was still a fairly new treatment for breast cancer patients.

Trina was admitted to the hospital and they removed some of her own bone marrow from her pelvic bones and stored it. Then she was given really intensive chemo treatments before her bone marrow was restored. She spent  three weeks in isolation, but recovered and was cancer free. The procedure was successful.

After approximately two years Trina was still doing very well and was still cancer free.  She had always dreamed of having a little girl and a sister for her sons so she and my brother made the decision to have a baby. They were successful and soon were to find out they were expecting a baby. The first part of the pregnancy was uneventful, but as it progressed the cancer returned.

Trina being the wonderful, loving mother that she was refused to let them treat her for fear it would harm her baby. She spent the larger part of her pregnancy in bed and as time passed she became more ill, but still refused all treatment thinking of the baby. She prayed, read her Bible and trusted God to take care of them both.

In the sixth month of Trina's pregnancy the doctor decided to take Meadow by C-section in hopes that they both would survive. This procedure was not successful.

This is where my sweet brother laid his beautiful wife and precious baby to rest until they meet again.
