One day sometime
back I was walking in the yard and one of our big dogs was running
to me and ran into my leg. It hurt very bad...just like the RSD pain
in my hand. The other day hubby and I were moving a couple of dog
houses. A half of a concrete block slid off the top of the dog house
and landed on top of my foot, again I felt that same pain that goes
with RSD.
When I touch my
leg in the spot where the dog ran into me after all this time I
still feel that pain and that leg swells easily. The foot that the
block fell on is doing the same thing...the RSD is spreading to the
parts of my body that I injure.
My foot does not
hurt unless I touch it and it stays swollen most of the time. I know
it sounds crazy but no matter where I injure myself my wrist and
hand where the RSD first started hurts. RSD just makes no sense to
me at all...but it is real pain I know that for a fact.
If any of you
have experienced anything like I am talking about I would love to
hear from you.
Since I hurt my
foot I have had to take something almost every night for pain so I
can sleep. I hope that it settles down soon. It would be okay if I
did not touch my foot in the night, but when I am asleep I lay my
other foot on it or hit it and the pain wakes me unless I take pain
medication.
Update 9-16-2009
The pain and
swelling in my foot finally settled down. Unless I bump it or I am
on my feet for a long period of time it does not bother me so much
now. The pain is still in my hand and shoulders and is worse at
times than others.
I am very careful
how I pick up things and when I move things around in the house I
use my legs and ask for help. I have started doing more things with
my right hand again. When it begins to pain me then I switch back to
my left hand. I still have to take Ibuprofen some nights so I can
sleep.
