Web Browser "SEARCH" Options

Most Web Browsers have built-in connections to several Internet search facilities. Use these to search for "dive rescue", "dive team", or "search and rescue".

Local Diving Conditions

• LCRA Daily River Report.
  Current lake levels, flow rates, and weather forecasts for the entire Lower Colorado River Authority area.

National Emergency Service organizations

• National Association for Search and Rescue.
  A good source of training and material on all aspects of Search and Rescue. NASAR also has a large list of links to SAR-related Web sites.

Travis County and Central Texas Emergency Service Organizations

• Travis County Firefighters Association.
  

• Lower Colorado River Authority Public Safety Rangers
  LCRA Rangers work with TCSO and the Dive Team on underwater SAR operations.

• The Austin Fire Department.
  The AFD Dive Rescue Team went into operation around 1980. The AFD Dive Rescue Team has responsibility for underwater SAR operations in the City of Austin.

• San Marcos Area Recovery Team
  A public service dive team composed of law enforcement, fire and rescue, and EMS personnel that serves several counties south of Travis County.
